Starla is the best, she just has a true understanding of the dog. Our Aussie did the 3 week training with Starla and has boarded with her many times. He learned a lot and loves to go there. I highly recommend Country hill if you need a great training base for your dog.

Kali loves going to Country Hill Canine Dog Training. We board her there when we travel and I feel comfortable knowing she is getting the best care possible. She’s also a graduate of their training program. Starla and Chris are well educated in training and they really care about the well being of our pet.

We have been customers Country Hill Canine Dog training since they were located in Maine. Our mini Bernadoodle Willow has been through their board and train program and she boards with them regularly. Chris and Starla are wonderful trainers and they care for Willow as if she was their own. We won't board Willow anywhere else.

My 4 year old Parson Jack Russell Terrorist was absolutely transformed by his three week board and train experience with Starla and Chris this summer. I had tried multiple kinds of training from puppy kindergarten, advanced obedience, agility training, 1:1 behavioral therapy, and we were not able to help Katsu with his reactivity, pulling, and sometimes aggressiveness towards other dogs, and occasionally, people. Starla provided the boundaries, communication skills, and most importantly, loving understanding that got through to Katsu. She helped me understand that Katsu's breed and personality as a working dog require different kinds of outlets and activities. Starla is so dedicated and experienced, and I was 100% confident that she truly understood how to work with Katsu's particular quirks, and she helped teach me what I can do to keep him engaged and relaxed. Starla is an amazing teacher, and she and Chris provided a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for Katsu to learn with other dogs. I am now able to take Katsu into busy environments, visit and stay over with other dogs, and even walk off leash in safe outdoor environments. Katsu has so much more freedom and confidence than he ever had before, and I'm incredibly grateful to Starla and Chris for their professionalism and kindness. They have welcomed Katsu back for boarding, and he always loves seeing them in follow up training sessions, and staying with them at their superb facility. I cannot recommend them enough-- Katsu is a wonderful, loving companion, but he was very, very difficult before this life-changing training. Thank you so much!

We highly recommend Country Hill Canine. Starla is an experienced and knowledgeable trainer. We have a 1 year old golden retriever that was in the 3 week board and train. Ollie is so much better with walking calmly, staying in place, recall and other things. Starla gave us so many tips and explanations in the training session at the end of Ollie’s time w them. We had an absolute 5 star experience in every way at this facility. We did the 4 week board and train with our very rare breed. Starla was up for the challenge and at only 7-8months old my Native American Indian dog is the best trained boy around. We traveled from Maine to take him to them, because we were just so impressed with their facility being perfect parts professional, spacious, while also homey. We highly recommend Starla and Chris for all of your boarding and training needs. They have given us the gift of bringing our best friend with us everywhere and him remaining neutral in many different situations. We will forever be grateful!

We started using Country Hill Canine when they were located in Maine and have followed them to Connecticut. They treat our young Australian Shepherd like he's part of the family which means so much to us. He comes back happy and healthy after each of his visits.
